Stretch Marks

I know that Vitamin E and the cocoa butter stuff they sell at Babies R Us is made for stretch marks. But I am asking if anyone else has a favorite product? My stretch marks have appeared and are already OUT OF CONTROL!! Help?!

Nothing works. It's genetics and you can't fight it. But mine were deep, nasty purple, hurt like a mother, but got SUPER faded with my very pale skin.

My plastic surgeon said scars don't like PRESSURE, so her suggestion on my surgical scars was using PRESSURE with the cheapest option: cocoa butter.

Just think, if you get a tummy tuck after all this, you probably won't *HAVE* any stretch marks. The ones above my belly button are now at my scar line and the rest are gone! :D I had four pounds of lose skin with only ONE baby.

Dude... just surrender.

That's all I can say.

Sorry to say there is nothing you can really do about it. Some skin gets stretch marks, some doesn't, it's in your genes. If you got them during puberty (breasts, hips, etc) you're gonna get them during pregnancy. Anything that moisturizes well will help ease the pain of a super stretched triplet belly but there's nothing that will really stop them from appearing. Get a tummy tuck after the babies are born and they'll just cut them out :)

That advice isn't that cheery is it? But all of it pretty true! I just hope they don't hurt you. You're doing great and great job bringing in the reinforecements! It will help you having your mom there for company. What books have you been reading?

I agree - you guys all have sucky advice! ha ha ha. My poor husband is being sent out into the shopping abyss tomorrow to find vitamin E or something for me. Without the 'miracle' cure's name, I have no specific thing for him to buy. Poor guy. I am sure it won't be what I want. Oh well.
