We attended a car seat class today offered to us by the county. And the result at the end of the class is a carseat for each baby! We had wanted some little cute snugride seats from Babies R Us. But we couldn't pass up this deal!! The state trooper leading the class scared us by telling us three seats would not fit in our car! But after class, she and Pete crawled in the back seat and muscled them in! And they are there to stay!!! They all fit just perfectly and the trooper says they are super safe. And that is what matters. There are no bases, no handles, no cute dangly toys. I guess we are going back to the basics and learning how to carry these babies!!!
After an hour and a half of horrible accident videos and a lecture, daddy and I took several things off of our gift registry! LOL No more glass mirrors, roll up window shades or pillows for the seats! It was an eye opening class and we were brought back to safety over cuteness. :)
Oh - and the REALLY great thing is that they flip to an upright position when facing forward and become a toddler seat to 50 pounds. Cha ching. We took THREE!

Thanks for the support guys! I had some mommy guilt about these seats. But I think we won't be going too many places with the triplets when they are little. And I think these seats will be just great.
That was an awesome deal. Like others said, you've saved hundreds. Now you just need to find a good supportive triple stroller to put them in when you do go out when they are little.
Oh wow jealous here lol ... what a great deal you got ! You totally saved tons and tons of money you can use elsewhere. I'd be courious if you still have the links to the items that you took off, what are they, I am sure lots of people would find it interesting cause Im sure we all buy them cause they all look cute ! I had the travel system and we took baby in and out in it and found it very useful till she got bigger and we could no longer carry both. My baby hates her car seats, or rather I should say being put in it and out (once shes in it shes'ok), so it saved us lots of headaches. And don't feel guilty about these seats and deal at all, you deserve it !
That's a great deal....and like you said, we buy a lot of stuff b/c it's cute, not always needed...I'm also guilty! And you have a stroller already, right??? Way to save the moolah!
